Over By Christmas

Holbrook, Margaret
Over By Christmas
Over By Christmas was written specifically for the Wilfred Owen Festival that took place in Oswestry in 2018, where I was invited as a guest speaker. The poetry and short prose in this collection are all linked to WWI and not only that, a lot of the writing takes a look at things from a female perspective, focusing on the women who were left at home when the men went off to fight.

Not Exactly Life

Holbrook, Margaret
Not Exactly Life
A poetry collection all about women, from life, film, fiction and history. From Lucrezia Borgia to Belle Starr, from Queen Elizabeth I to Madame Bovary . . . All of these women have been chosen because for some or other reason they have been influential, perhaps it was a word spoken, or a look given, or a trait possessed, perhaps it was none of these or all of them, but somehow, somewhere, they left their touch with me.

And then there's the mirror, the anniversary gift . . .
